Hi Bebbles, no your BP medicines will not affect your kidneys, in fact they protect the kidneys. The heart & lungs work together with the kidneys, keeping the BP under control is a must. I've been on BP medicine almost 40 years. Currently I take 3 different ones a day, been on this routine a good 10 years. I asked my dr a couple of years ago if there was anything new to get me on one pill a day. He said no & even of there was he would not risk taking me off of what works for me.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused by either repetitive use of the hands, or an injury not an autoimmune condition. What autoimmune conditions do you have? An example, my daughter worked in a grocery store & helped wrap meat, constant repetitive, then went to work for the county in the tax office. In the tax office she constantly uses the 10 key. She ended up with severe Ct in both wrists & had surgery.
Take care.
