OT: 4th of July

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful 4th.


Lets tell eachother what we did for the holiday.



We had relatives from Fl come over to the house. I made alot of food so everyone was stuffing their faces all day. Then when it got dark all the fireworks came out. We live on a dead end road so everyone was setting them off. It was so pretty.



We had a few close calls and a few burned teenagers. I thought I had raised them better with all my paranoia when they were little.



My daughter burned a half moon on here cheek and shes 16 she should of known better. Then she burned her thumb I think we should ban her from fireworks.




My husband loves those really big fireworks so he bought alot of those. We had a few close calls with the teenagers putting artillery shells into tubes that were to small. They had the great idea of setting three or four off at a time to get the BANG effect. One tube was too small and the shells took it into the air with it. Didn't go high enough and blew up a tree level... [img]/community/emoticons/smhair.gif[/img] Pretty but to close for my comfort. Then they set the last one off and it only went as high as the power lines and blew up. We had all the pretty colors flying at us. We ran laughing so hard got under the carport and they just flew into their with us. [img]/community/emoticons/smhair.gif[/img]



That was my fourth full of thrills. How was all yours?????

Sounds like you girls had some fun on the 4th ! My daughter arrived from Myrtle Beach at 9:00am, she moved there this past Jan. so we are very excited to have her home!!!!  Then I went to see my kinesiologist for a couple of hours - trying to get these spasms under control, or at least a little relief - the appt. helped some - but after showering, riding in the car and sitting for 2 hours I was pretty much wiped out from the spasms so that wrapped up our day.  Although, we were blessed with fireworks from a couple of our neighbors for a few hours - we live in the country almost on the NY/PA border, we're in NY - so the cops don't come out here too often.  Our daughters decided to go to a party - it's so nice to have them both together . They are 22 and 20.

Am looking forward to a much healthier and more exciting 4th next year!!!!!

I'm so sorry your 4th ended up the way it did. But good for you hopefully next 4th will come and give you tons and tons of excitment...lol
