Thalitone?

I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with Thalitone? and if so, was it difficult keeping your potassium levels normal while on the medication? My daughter will be starting this on Monday, and we were told we must make sure we keep her potassium levels up at all times.  I'm nervous about her starting this medication and I'm hoping there are others out there who have taken it.

Thank you for replying. It is actually a diuretic mainly used for congestive heart failure but I guess it is used for patients that have hypercalcuria, where the kidney's are excreting excessive amounts of calcium. I was just wondering if anyone here, had this particular kidney disorder and was taking this medication and maybe could share their experience with me.  My daughter is 12 and will be starting this medication on Monday, and I'm more than nervous about it!  My husband and I went to fill the prescription yesterday and the pharmacy said they rarely ever see this medication filled and would have to order it, so this is a bit scary!

Thank you! Your medication must be similar to the thalitone then? and we have been told to increase the potassium rich foods for my daughter and then if her levels drop we will need to use a potassium supplement. Thank you for your imput!
