Burning and Pelvic Pain Bad...

I'm not sure if I'm on the right thread site, but have been struggling with bladder problems since 2004. In May of 2004 I had a abdominal incision with removal of Uterus and Bladder lifted + held with mesh. Lasted for a couple years and then began having problems again. Pain in pelvic region, pressure, frequent urination and burning. Negative UTI''s. In 2009 things got worse and colon went thru vaginal wall and the bladder and colon came out of vagina. All pelvic muscles were not able to support things inside (caused from having 8-pregnancies, 7-births). Including Bladder had grown outside the mesh causing a bulging sack so was unable to eliminate urine. Also Rectocele. Then had a Pelvic floor lift including Bladder fixed.

I am still having bad burning both when I urinate or not urinating. Pressure and pain right above pelvic bone above abdominal scar.

A friend here on the Healingwell site asked me if I had Interstitial Cystitis? I didn't know what that was but she briefly explained. I went online to read about it and it sounds exactly like what I am experiencing.

Does anyone here have this problem and suggestions. I am so tired of having Bladder surgeries. I just underwent having a Loop ileostomy a month ago, and Sept. should be having another surgery to make it permanent.

I was wondering about that test you were mentioning, where they put stuff in to check if you have it. Does it hurt getting it done and do you have to go to a Urologist for the test or can a Internal Medicine Doctor do it? I've had the test where they look inside with a scope 2x. I'm so tired of having medical problems...I worry that people think I'm a hypochondriac. I even begin questioning myself, but I know that I'm not making any of it up.

Yesterday I called my Psych Dr. to tell her that I need more quantity of my Vistaril because I was only allowed 1-for the whole day for all anxiety/panic attacks and 2-at bedtime. But I am having more than 1-a day. So I picked up the meds today and she gave me #120, 100mg so I can take 1-every 4-6 hours if needed...Yeah :)
