Hi All,

I had my kidney biopsy done on Wednesday 2/29.  It went well  wink  .  I realized the procedure was not as bad as I had thought.  I am a little sore but home resting.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the results of the biopsy to come back?

I think it depends on how the doctor orders it. When they put on oneofmine to be urgent, it came back in a week but the other two came back in 2 weeks.

When is your follow up appointment? And glad it wasnt as bad as you expected :)

aims my follwo-up is not until March 26th.  I have to do a 24 hour sample and bloodwork the week before I go back for my follow-up.  I guess if they get the results before then and it doesn't look good they will contact me to come in.

It took a couple of weeks for me I think. they have to send it to a special lab and look at it through a scanning electron microscope because the area they are viewing is so tiny. I am glad it went well for you, I have been thinking of you and wish you the best of luck. Call your Doc in a couple of weeks if you can't stand waiting anymore, they may get you in earlier if there is a cancellation.
