kidney problems starting again

At 17 my bp was 250/150, I had anemia and mono. I was then diagnosed with renal failure. I had renal artery stinosis (closing of arteries which restricted blood flow to my kidneys). After several angioplasties my right kidney was removed at 19. Everything seemed to stabilize with one kidney working at 30%. It has been 10 years and it seems things are going south for me. I was just diagnosed with hypothyroidism and possible fibromyalgia. My creatinine is 1.74 and blood pressure is jumping a little. Also my GFR is too low. So I am stressed and not sure what to expect.

I have an appointment with a new nephrologist in April. I am not sure about how quick it has happened because I pretty much stopped seeing my old nephrologist about 5 years ago. The whole "outta sight outta mind" thing. I felt good at the time and didn't want to be reminded of.being sick. I know..very stupid and my parents have been on my case about it ever since. So three weeks ago I finally went to a family doc and was tested. I am taking synthroid for my hypothyroidism, but that is all. I don't have any immediate questions because I haven't gone to the nephrologist yet. I just thought joining a forum may help me learn more and get answers when I do have questions.
