Non calcium fortified dairy?????

Our 10 year old has an over abundance of calcium in her diet and we are trying to find substitutes for her dairy in take. Does anyone know of a rice or almond or soy milk that is NOT calcium enriched? We were told that is why she is producing so many stones and having so many problems... so we now have to limit her daily dairy intake to 1 serving a day. And is she ever MAD! lol.. she is a HUGE dairy person, and to her 1 serving should be like 6 cups of mac n cheese...unfortunately..the doc doesn't agree! so I am just trying to find options. Thanks!

My son's urologist recently took him off dairy too. I was complaining about the high price of non-dairy milks and someone suggested making my own soymilk or almond milk. If you made your own, it would not be fortified.

where did you find out how to do that? I would be very interested in learning how to do it! Thank you, I just figured if she got a milk substitute she would maybe not miss her dairy too much or feel deprived.

I searched on Yahoo Answers and there were several great suggestions. Although you can make it without special equipment, there is a special machine you can buy to make soymilk more easily.
I am new to dealing with kidney damage, but my son has an underlying metabolic disorder, so not new to life with a child with medical problems.
