Hi there,
This condition has similar symptoms as LPHS. If the kidney moves more than 5cms then surgery may be possible (Nephropexy). I had this surgery with instant resolution of symptoms. My story is on the national Kidney Federation website, under Perceptions. Severe loin pain radiating to the groin (renal colic) is the main symptom. I am on a mission to raise awareness as it can be easily missed and people are told they are a mystery. A supine and erect (lying and standing) Intravenous Urogram is required for diagnosis. Most radiographers do only supine imagining which is normal. It is only when the person STANDS that the kidney drops. If this condition is diagnosed quickly then LPHS may not follow. There is unpublished research showing that SN can lead to LPHS. I think that is enough for now. Please contact me if I can help at all.
