Hi guys,
Im a 22 year old male. Been weightlifting/Natural bodybuilder for the past four years. Im 5'11 and roughly 190lbs. Back in January this year, I started having foamy urine. Didn't think nothing of it. I was on a high protein diet and supplements like creatine and amino acids. Back in may I had Complete Blood Count done for other reasons, everything came back normal except for my creatinine levels (measured 121. Normal is 90-105) and I was also told I had a trace of protein in my urine. I was told to lay off all supplements and cut down on my protein. I did just that.
In July I went to see a nephrologist. They did another CBC, ultrasound of kidneys and urinstix test. My creatinine was down to 105, ultrasound was good and the urinstix was clear. However, my 24h urintest said I had 0,3g of protein in my urine. I was told to do another 24h urine test a week ago. That came back with 0,2g of protein in it, and my creatinine levels was 106.
I still have very foamy urine in the morning, less foamy during the day - sometimes none. But the doctor wants me to do a creatinine clearance test, and a CT scan with dye of the kidneys.
I don't know what is wrong with my kidneys or how I should interpret the results!
