enlarged bladder/ cause for worry??

hello every. i'm over visiting from chronic pain and having some issues with my bladder. about a month ago i had an appt. with my urinary doc and had some sort of scope test done where they checked my bladder and ureathra. the results turned out to be good except he mentioned that my bladder was enlarged. so much that he wants me to cath myself twice a day to make sure my bladder is drained. ihe seemed rather concerned that the enlarged bladder can cause kidney failure. does this sound about right that i'm looking at aninteresting future or should i not really worry to much about it. i go to the bathroom just fine. no pains or other issues at all. any kinda of feedback would be greatly apperciated. thank you in advance.
