Newbie here

Hello to everyone,

I have been diagnosed with CKD stage 3 because of elevated creatinine levels of 1.49 and 1.44 over the last few months and GFR is at 59.2 then rose to greater than 60 with my last blood a few days ago. I am a 55 y.o. male and the most significant factor is this particular blood level, the BUN is good. I don't have any stand out symptoms such as urine issues, foul smell in stool, rashes, swelling in the hands or legs, or any fatigue. I do get flank and back pain but the nephrologist doesn't think it's related to the kidneys. I had an ultrasound last week that showed no masses, tumors, or stones. I am scheduled to see my rheumatologist again on Monday because my ANA is positive and I do have some numbness and stiffness in the hands and some in the soles of the feet. Any suggestions or advice? I am very bummed with this news to say the least. Thanks.

Forgot to mention I do take medication for high blood pressure and restless legs.

Thank you straydog, and I am sorry I didn't post to the page. The nuerosurgeon and I agreed to hold for a while since my symptoms wasn't as bad as some he's seen. But yes at the same time I've replaced that with either a kidney or colon issue. I have colonoscopy next Monday. Your'e on the money, was popping NSAID's there for a while 2 a day for maybe 2 weeks at a time wasn't good and that's when I noticed those levels increased but have not come down. Nephreologist says it wasn't so much a kidney issue. I'm kind of nervous about the colonoscopy as I did have pulops 5 years ago. I do have those unexplained flank and ab pains. I do have hbp as well.
