Does anyone remember me -another question for you all.

Hi.

I don't know if anyone remembers me.  I was on your forum writing a number of posts regarding my brother within this last month.  He had the swollen ankles and then nose bleeds.  He finally had all his blood work done and an MRI of his ankles and got the results today.  The rheumy said that all his test results came back negative(normal) EXCEPT one that shows he is a blood disorder.  My brother said the rheumy said it's a Lupus blood disorder where you develop clots.   He didn't know the name but the nurse told him the name of it sounds worse than it is.  He is getting his blood work mailed to him so he will get the definite name of what he has.  The rheumy said to my brother "you should be happy with your results".  Meaning he wasn't diagnosed with Lupus, lymes, etc.  He told my brother that he has to take a baby asprin once a day and then wants him to start FIsh oil vitamins. 
Is anyone familiar with this?  It sounds ridiculous that he didn't get the exact name of what he has.  Again, just worried  and confused.

I'm taking a guess at this but I bet this is it "antiphospholipid antibodies".  I was just doing research and this is linked to Lupus(which the dr. told him).  The dr. said my brother doesn't have Lupus but he does have this..  This "antiphospholipid antibodies" is a i think catergorized as a Hematologic disorder .  Hematoglic disorder is 1 of the 11 in the criteria for lupus.  I hope my brother lives the rest of his life with no other symptoms arising but I just am doubtful.  :(  I just think this all looks like it's red flags for autoimmune disease.  I understand what youa re saying about all other diseases that arise from having just one.  With all the research I have done on this I found that out pretty quickly.  It's so unfortunate and not fair.  take care

   I agree that is the test the doctor did. I hope he gets better answers soon and on the right treatment plan. Please keep us updated. You and your brother will be in my thoughts and prayers.
