Cellcept & Evoxac

Hi-

It has been a while since I have been able to get back on here.  Between my own health and helping my family as we deal with my father being back on Life Support - I am lucky to get anything accomplished.

I saw my Rheumy last Friday and she has me on two new meds.  I have started the Evoxac and I think it may help with the dryness from the Sjogrens.  I should be able to pick up the Cellcept this evening.  Are any of you taking either of these meds?  If so, would you mind sharing your experiences with them? 

Oh, and just to update you guys - I think the Orencia is helping.

I found Cellcept to be a miracle drug for me. My life was seriously impaired by cognitive dysfunction -- not only couldn't find words, complete sentences, or remember what the subject we were talking about was -- but couldn't track well enough to read an article, a book, or watch a movie. Couldn't make out where anything was to drive -- lost map reading ability - couldn't place street names -- obviously couldn't work. Within 2 weeks of starting Cellcept my brain function began to improve -- that was in the fall of '06. Now I have been totally off of Cellcept for 6 weeks -- and my brain function is the best it has been since I was dx w/Lupus in 2000. I never suffered from any side effects at all -- always took in AM with food. Mine was an off-use of Cellcept, but I'm really glad my rheumy decided to try it! Cheers,

Laurie, I started Evoxac not long ago and it has made a uge difference in my sjogrens symptoms. My mouth was so dry that it was about to literally drive me crazy. It is such a relief to have saliva again. The only thing I notice with it is that I get a brief hot flash a little while after I take it, but it goes away pretty quick. I hope you have good luck with both of your meds. Take care

I have been on Cellcept since February 2005 and agree with the others--it has been a wonder drug: few side effects and good results. I wish I could say it had put me into remission or stopped organ damage, but it hasn't. It has slowed it considerably and given me my life back. Without it, I don't think there is anyway I could be planning my graduation from graduate school in May. Best of luck to you--I hope you see good results as well.
