Tingling!

This is my first time on this site.  I have a question for anyone out there.  My first symptom of lupus is tingling up and down my arms.  My rhematologist has not heard of this symptom is any of his patients.  It feels kind of like my arms are starting to fall asleep.  It is definitely worse in the sun.  Does anyone have this same symptom?

   Welcome to the forum. I also have tingling in my arms and legs at times. We have alot of whacky symptoms that are sometimes new to some doctors. I hope you get some relief soon. Please keep us updated and take care. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

My tingling in the sun is caused by photosensitivity, which can be caused by lupus or some of the lupus medications. Tingling in arms, legs, hands, feet I've found to be minor neuropathy; basically a nerve inflammation that comes and goes with lupus activity.

i get tingling in my arms when i go in the sun especially when i am on high doses of prednisone

Hi, I'm new here hun but I've been to a neurologist and he did some test on me and ruled the tingling as a moderate form of neuropathy realted to my lupus dx. Basically, I was told that it was a combo of being sensitive to the sunlight (cuz i get blisters and the tingling is worse) and lupus attacking my central nervous system. but that is all i know right now. i'm tryin to get more answers too...

you ever feel like you are wearing socks or a hat even though you don't have one on? that is the neuropathy part. i know more about the nerves than i do lupus because i've spent the last 8 months in a neurologist office trying to figure out what was wrong with me...evidently this cruddy lupus crap i've got went straight for my nerves and kidneys. the sunlight gives a pirckly, piercing kinda tingle, the neuropathy stuff gives the numbness,muscle weakness and a all over tingly...almost like a muscle spasam twitch but it is a nerve ending spazing out getting ready to go bad. the neuropathy follows your nerve endings... like along your cheekbones, down the front of your nose, down the sides of your arms and in certain patterns on your back ect... pretty much in the places you'd get shingles.
