Hello, My derm. told me to get capsaicin cream for my pain that I have, has anybody else here use it or here of it. I been going to a wellfitness program at the hosiptal two to three times a week for muscle toning and excise I've been in a lot of pain with my right hand and shoulder last week to the point that  couldn't move it I'm just starting to get back to normal after taking flexeril and celebrex I was taking more then I should have just trying to releive the pain. So I woundering about this capsaicic cream. Thanks Debbie

Hi, have not heard of the cream you are talking about, but would be interested in finding out also.  I work with my hands all the time and right now I can't seem to get any relief from the pain either.

I hope someone will come along that has heard or used this before.  I suppose we could ask the Pharmacist.  Interesting.

I believe this cream is commonly used for relief from arthritic pain. It's a more natural version of something like BenGay.

I've used capsaicin in the past with good results. It's made from hot peppers though, I think, so be sure to wash your hands thoroughly before touching your eyes. I've also had some luck with Traumeel cream, which is a homeopathic anti-inflammatory cream available at health food stores and Whole Foods. Sometimes I top it off with Dr. Singha's Mustard Rub, which is available in the same places, and top it off with a heating pad.

If it doesn't work I'll try traumeel cream.
Lynnwood, Harmony.... I did some reading on this, it is for arthritic pain also it is made from hot peppers. I'm just woundering how it felt when you put it on. I don't want it to bother my hands, cause of my rash. I'm sure the doc. wouldn't perscribe me somthing that would bother me but I still want to know. Thanks Debbie
