Hi Everyone,

    I had a nice weekend in Atlanta and met a few of you..... yeah . We only had 6 out of 12 show up for the meeting, but I think it went well.

    Now I can say I have met Barb, Lynn, Linda and Donna!! Karen and I had already met and been on camping together.... scool . All of you ladies are awesome!! It was so nice to put a face to the names on the forum. Donna's boyfriend and Linda's husband were awesome as well.

   The place we had lunch was nice. It was a little hard to hear everyone, but we did get alot of talking in....lol. Linda's wonderful husband slipped away and paid the waiter for all of our meals behind our backs which was so very nice of him...... yeah . I was in shock when the waiter said our tab had been taken care of! 

    We got some pics so I hope someone that went can put together a little slide show or something for everyone to see. I will post more about the meeting later, sorry my brain isn't working right now.... confused .

   Hopefully, the others will come along soon and tell about it also. Just wanted to drop a quick note. Take care all and I would love to met alot more of you in the future.

If you guys can email me the pictures I can put them up on my web site for everyone to get a chance to view & download them. If we only want attendees to see them, I can do that, too. Hope everyone is recovering well from the trip -- traveling is such an extra pain when you have lupus !!! My vertigo seems to be about gone today -- YAY!

Glad your feeling a little better I knew you didn't feel good Sat. but it was so nice to meet you. I would love to see the pictures.

I am so bummed that I didn't make it to meet all of you. Maybe we can schedule another one soon ???? I am glad to hear you all had a great time and how nice it was for Linda's hubby to pay for the meal, that was very thoughtful.

I don't know about "soon". At least 4 of the 6 of us that attended have had some disease issues flaring due to the simple stresses of traveling and meeting. Lupus just doesn't lend itself well to travel!!! Sigh.

Would have LOVED to join you all!! I'm looking forward to seeing pics if they can be parked somewhere to view. So glad that a few of you could get together . . . . but SO sorry you are paying a price. I don't travel well either. Even a 1-2 hour drive is likely to cause some trouble. I hope you are all feeling better fast. Blessings!

The meeting sounds great. I'd love to be able to meet some of you someday. I have the same problem everyone else does with travel though which makes it hard to travel any long distances. Maybe someday we can try a midwest meeting, although I think us midwesterners are pretty spread out.

I really wanted to make it but it was 7 hours for me to be in a car. My hips hurt after about 1 hour of sitting. Sounds like you all had fun. I know we can not have it in a spot to please everyone. Maybe one time we can make it more south. I know everyone wants it closer to them.

  I'm glad to hear the vertigo is better. I know you were feeling pretty bad over the weekend. I'm going to get my pics developed on saturday and will email them to you soon to post for everyone to see. Maybe Barb and Karen can send you theirs too if they are up to it, so there will be more to choose from.

Tink and Stacie,

   We understand that you ladies couldn't make it, but it would have been nice to meet you. You both take care and hope you feel better soon.

Everyone, 

   We did have a good time and I wish I could have met everyone from the forum. Maybe groups from different areas can meet up within close range to each other. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I know I'm very late in sending my apologies for not coming...please forgive me for that!

I ended up having car trouble that weekend, and only got my car back last week. DH had other committments that day and so I just didn't have a way of coming.

But please, if another gathering is planned, let me know! I'd still love to meet some of you in person, even if I'm not one of the most active members of the board!
