Pain Management - has anyone sought help

Has anyone attended Pain Management Treatment for Pulmonary Pains such as Pleuritis and Pleurisy where medications were not working and if  so did you find any satisfaction with it.

Hi hun, No I havn't done that yet. I'm on oxygen24/7 and I know how you feel. I do get some releif from vicodin. No because of the pain management so much as it helps me breath easier. when I'm breathing easier I have less side effects. I also use a heating pad when I lay down and am having trouble. I hope you can find a way to get some releif. I know it's very stressful  when you  are suffering with this stuff. If you go to pain managment I'd be interested in knowing how it goes.

Thank you for replying. I am so sorry to hear that you have so much pain. I can only imagine what you must be going through. I hope you can begin to feel better.

I am not on Oxygen. Amongst all the other meds...I take Advil and a pain med tog. 2 x/day. I cannot take any Codeine product, I get awfully sick. It concerns me because of the Advil and the side effects long term but I do get enough relief that I can fall asleep at nite. It is very uncomfortable and cannot turn or the chest pain intensifies so to tears. This has been this way for over a year.

There is much shortness of breath due to the pain, I cannot breath deeply and exertion such as walking, climbing stairs intensifies the pain. They are trying me on CellCept as I do not do well with Prednisone, I also take Plaquenil. You do not mention that you have Lupus, the Drs use Lupus and Sjogren's as a reason for my pleuritic pain thus shortness of breath. I can't even yawn or cough it hurts so bad. They tell me a clot caused this condition but both sides are affected, I don't feel I have been given a clear understanding of what is going on, when I ask I feel I am getting the "runaround" by the Pulm. The CT scan say there is no pleurisy evident.
