Low-dose naltrexone (LDN)

From what I gather, many doctors claim to have never even heard of it...and the ones who have are often reluctant to prescribe it. Pharmaceuticals probably hate it.....it's cheap at about $1/day according to one source. Another glitch is that only certain pharmacies will formulate the low dose version, but there are lists of the ones that will on the internet. Penn State College of Medicine and other places have done/are doing trials (again, lists available on the internet). Thoroughly explore all the info and view the video at the link I posted before asking your rheumy about it. In other words, do your homework. I've only recently heard about it myself because a 'real' person I know who has cancer is taking LDN now. Several people at the Crohn's forum here have apparently tried it with varying results (I entered it in 'search site'). It seems to be especially promising for many MS patients (also found on the internet). Instead of suppressing the immune system, it apparently bolsters it...and that makes sense to me. I repeat: Do your homework. This is all new to me too and I may have inadvertently said something inaccurate.
