Family issues make me sick

Warning this is a vent: My precious 23 y/o daughter, Tory, was arrested yesterday for a DUI. She called me at 6am asking me to bail her out. Of course I was really angry, but I went straight there. At one point I took a nap on the bail bonds mans' couch. I finally got her home at noon and I slipped in her kitchen and fell flat on my back.  I'm also dealing with issues re my 82 y/o father in FL who fell off his bicycle in August, went to hospital, then to nursing facility. My brother said Dad was refusing to eat, becoming confused. I live in Atlanta, flew to FL, paid for nursing and got Dad discharged to my brother's house. Three days after I arrived, my brother lost his job. If I brought Dad to ATL, I am not strong enough to care for him so I'm helping my brother with finances. This morning I have a rheumy appt, then I need to take my daughter to get her car out of impound. All this sucks and of couse today lupus sucks big time. If you read to this point, I congratulate you. Thanks for listening. Love, Butterflake

Man, it sure sounds like yesterday sucked big time! I hope you are having a better day today and that your back isn't giving you problems from the fall.

Butterflake, you need a serious break!!! Let us know how your appointment goes when you are up to it. Come home after your appointment and taking your daughter to her car and get some rest. (((((Hugs))))))

Your situation sounds like a gong show.  I'm sorry hon.  It's good that you vented and got it all out.  Take it easy with you back okay?

   I haven't been on here for a while but I had to  come on when I read your post because I known what you mean about family problems. My daughter has been in jail for DUI before. In July she drank so much she nearly died, she was in the hospital for 8 weeks. Now she is in relab. learning to walk and talk again.  So yes families can make you sick. Oh no Donna! and yet you were still able to get all 10 right on the game yesterday! smilewinkgrin Sorry just trying to find the up side. I know this is gonna sound just awful but I had to learn to do this for my own sanity. If my day is becoming more than I can handle and I feel like just one more thing is gonna be more than I can deal with I ............turn my phone off! I trust God and my family to be able to handle whatever comes up and taught myself that it's ok to take care of me and the world will not end if I am not there to fix everything. It took a long time because I was always miss fix it. If my son's name came up on caller ID the first thing I thought before answering it was............Oh no what's wrong? lol. He even knows now that if he leaves me a message that he needs to tell me he was just calling to say hi and everything is ok. lol.

I guess I'm just saying try to find a way to take care of yourself. Give yourself permission to do what is best for you. I hope your rheumy appt went well.

Hello Jennifer, Rosie, Lynn, Hippi, Ginny, Linda, Firebabe, SpinningMaw, and Carol. I was exhausted at my rheumy appt and when I get that way I stutter and skip sounds. Quite a spectacle.  Last week I tried to drop from 7mg to 6 of prednisone and flared. He told me to increase my Cellcept slowly from 1000mg a day to 2000, then decrease the pred. Later yesterday I ended up driving to Tory's house and let her borrow my car so she and her friends can get her car out of impound. I still need to call an attorney. Carol, you give great advice! I haven't spoken to my brother or dad all week. Also getting 10 pts on trivia boosted my spirits. I made an appt to get my hair cut and colored today. My BF Tim sent me flowers yesterday smilewinkgrin  As always, God is caring for me. I so appreciate all of you and the many hugs you sent.Oh Linda, it's good to see you post. Love, Butterflake

butterflake, I wish I could offer more than empathy. My family is being positively toxic right now, and all their hatred and anger is aimed at me over something I was accussed of and convicted of without anyone asking me if I did it or my side while a witness said I didn't do what they claim I did and truthfully I didn't do what they all claim I did. None of them were there and the one person who was told them repeatedly I didn't do it but no one listened and so I am now getting attacks again based on this stuff that is years and years old all because I congratulated a cousin on her marriage and wished her happy. Really wish I hadn't bothered now.

I hope your life calms down soon.

I have been going through so much this summer that I haven't felt like getting on here but I have been reading all the post when I could.  Hope you are feeling okey and I pray you never have to see your daughter in the shape my daughter is in from alcohol.  Linda

Ok Donna, I just want to know 1 thing...................Does Tim have a brother? tongue I'm always happy if my son has a girlfriend around mothers day. They usually make sure he sends me flowers. Otherwise I'd never get them!
