Hehe, Rosie, I saw the title to your thread and HAD to find out what you were talking about!
It's quite common up here in Canada to drink hot water. It's from the generation of ancestors from the UK that brought the tradition over here. Apparently, according to my grandmother, her father would stand in the shower and drink as much hot water as he could handle first thing every morning. YUM. How and why she knew that, I don't want to know.... But that's the story! Hehe...All my ancestors on that side of the family lived to be in their late 90's too Lynnwood! Hmmmmm, maybe they were on to something.
Personally, I am going to end that tradition with my generation by always adding a tea bag to my hot water. Much more enjoyable!
Thanks for the cute thread Rosie! I'm glad you are enjoying your hot cup O water! (cheers and clinking tea cups together),
Ginny
