Right sided pain

I am having the worst night of pain I think I have had yet. My right hand hurts to even hold a glass of beverage. The right leg from the knee down is excruciating. I took a perc and Motrin which I have  NEVER  done. Any of you have the right side of the body hurt more than the left? I wondered about a blood clot but there is NO redness or swelling so I assume its just joint pain. Unbearable whatever is causing it.

I'm so sorry you are hurting tonight, dang it! Hopefully the perc and mortin will kick in soon. You know I tell my husband all the time, for some odd reason when I hurt, especially GI pain, inflammation in the rib cage and lungs, etc, it always seems to be dominated on my right side. Always has been for me, as long as I can remember. Odd, isn't it? Do you normally experience right sided pain or is this something new for you?

Maybe our brains are bigger on the right side and we have more nerve endings on that side....LOL! Well, it was good for a laugh anyway...hehehehe.

lol Thanks for the kind words Melissa :). This is the first for me. I have a swollen hand and swollen foot . The pain starts in the mid thigh and travels down. My leg feels weird! It feels heavy and my toes are cold only on the right side. Left toes are warm. The pain is more dull but it wont leave me. I am not understanding why I have this much pain when once again my labs reflect that I am doing better. I dont FEEL better. Chaya bangs head against wall. As much as I hate steriods they allow me to feel human when I take the larger doses.

Hi Chaya,

 

You might consider seeing your doctor about this. I had thigh pain a few months ago that we couldn't figure out.  My doctor had me do an ultrasound just to make sure it wasn't a clot.  There is often no outwardly visible signs that a clot is present.

 

Better to be safe than sorry.  I hope you can get some sleep tonight,

Hi Chaya,

Doesn't sound good. I think I'd check with a doctor just to be on the safe side. That way this episode will be documented so SHOULD it reoccur, the doctor might begin to see a pattern.

I agree with the other ladies, you should contact your doctor. It doesn't sound too good, your leg hurting the way it does, being cold and all. Better to have it checked and be safe. And get it documented.

Hope you are able to get some relief and sleep tonight, rest easy.
