New Van so I am now Ann with the Van!! with purple and pink flowers on! Flower power rules OK!
Bloods back, took a few months to come back CK is 358, the prof. who I have now left sent me the results saying this CK elevation could be due to a fall or a bruise, but considering its a muscle enzyme and I am in flippin agony I think he is wrong here.
My ANA is 1:400. He considers that normal. I DON'T. not feeling so very very ill indeed and in so much pain etc.
+1 protein in urine. NOthing to worry about.

You are too ill to do anything, the pain is off the richter scale, and they pass off these bloods as normal when most see how unwell I am and how the struggle is so great.
Muscle biopsy back but it was a slightly unsatisfactory body piece anyway and taken from my biceps when my muscle wasting has started in the lower limbs at the extremities not at the trunk end.
New Rhuemy on Thurs. Not expecting much from him. Havent a clue who he is but we are VERY short of rheumies here in Ireland, just have to keep fingers crossed that he is reasonable, especially in manner.
Had a DAT scan last week.

Sorry not up to much, can't be overly funny tonight, am I ever here? But people say I am very positive here in Dublin, if only they saw me when on my own.
How can I prepare for the rheumy folks. Am scared.

make a list of symptoms and when they started. take pictures of rashes. have copies of blood work. be calm. remember he works for you. have a list of questions. there is a topic in the resources area I think with great advice. I hope all goes well. I am stuck on prednisone for a few years thanks to the last flare and how my progress is going. it is great to hear from you. I haven't been online much but had wondered.

thank you for that advice my friend. I came in from a very difficult walk to a letter from the neuro who referred me to a psychiatrist on our first meeting. I had been in the psych system for FAR far too long and I have a pathological hatred of psychiatrists
He is 'disappointed' that I would not go. But I had got two independent reviews to say I was 'normal' in a psychiatric sense.
he says he knows I present with neuro stuff but this guy knows that stress can play a part and this guy deals with pain management.

I LOVE your van by the way. I think it is the sweetest, most delightful van I've ever seen!

 

Redrose gave you great ideas on how to prepare for your rheumy visit. Try not to be scared about it. It'll go great (we hope!)

HI,oh Redrose, I have your email eh? Must send you pics of my dinky little van too!! She is called 'Mrs Obama!' the 'Driving force' behind Ann.
Now Redrose and GINNY here is my GOOD news, I have sprung the most juicy, delightful painful hive!!!! on the back of my thigh. WHAT a TIME to Spring a spot, day before a rheumy. WE have evidence!!!!
Well, a hive, Ann comm'on, take it easy, tis a hive, chuck a hive.
But it is A HIVE!
See what despair and desperation does, yep, Ann is esthatic.
Well, not only that but found two lovely wee books in a second hand shop on patio design and thats cheered me no end.
I am ok away from docs I tell you.

Ann, I cannot find your email either. I feel like a ditz but half my address book is gone, vanished and I have no idea why. perhaps gremlins?
