Yea I have a lot going on. But since I joined this group I finally feel that people understand. Its so nice having to have ppl to talk to that understand. You guys are great here.

Hey Ginny! hugs. Im ok tonight. The medication is makeing me have loss of apetite, but hey haha...whos gonna complain of eating less! I just am testing myself more to make sure I dotn get low :) (diabetic) How are you doing Ginny?

Awww Ginny, Im so sorry about Willow. I have a cat named Skittles (maybe we should stop letting the kids name animals LOL). Before Skittles I had Sneakers (actually that is a name us adults picked cuz he was a very sneaky (would play hide and go seek) cat and head butted you when he didnt get enough attention so we named as Sneakers Baby Butthead. Sneakers would litterly run at you and smack his head into your leg if he wanted attention. Anyhow he died a few years ago, we accidently fed him that poisoned cat food. We tried to save him. First signs of illness I took him to the vet. As I used to work in a nursing home, when Sneakers got worse, I started doing extended nursing care. He lost a lot of weight and wanted to eat, but he couldnt walk since it shut down his nervous system. So I did physical therapy and got him the high nutrition cat food from the vet that I syringed (sp) fed him (of course I bathed him too). We did this for months. Then he started seizures. The night before, I knew he was going to die. For some reason he lived to morning. Then he had 3 grand mal seizures in a ten minute window. I gave him 3 hours to pull out of the seizures, he never did. I could tell, as he was the "baby" he was in a coma. He was breathing and had a heart beat, but he was not there, so I rushed him to the vet again. Upon hearing he wouldnt last through the night, I had him put down. As he was like a kid to me, I actually asked the vet if I could sit on the bench outside with him as he died, vet asked why and I quipped "I dont want him dying in some doctor office or hospital." Vet decided to push that he was not a doctors office or hospital and I simply said "You are to the cat." He opened his mouth, couldnt say anything then said go ahead. So I held Sneakers on the bench outside with the birds chirping and the sun shining on him til he died. I'm personally against putting down, but sometimes, on rare cases it is for the better. I thankfully had a friend take to me to the vet. When we got back the police were there and demanding to see Sneakers. A niehgbor decided to yell "animal abuse". I looked at the officer pretty cold and said he just died, and if he needed confirmation to call my vet. He asked for the vet name and number, I told him, and he called them. My vet not only stook up for me and told the officer that I was the best animal lover they have seen in only 20 years but also put it in extensive writing that I was the best they have seen in 20 years and was providing care in such an extensive matter that they were personally shocked to see how much love and compassion I have. Even said how I never missed an appointment, stayed up to date with shots and stuff. I made copies of that and turned one into my landlord as they decided to investagate me. They backed off when they saw the letter and I said I had witnesses. I knew there was a reason why I had a friend take me to the vet each time so I could just hold him as we drove (dang Sneakers was like no other cat I've seen, he liked car rides and being held like a baby). Its hard to get over it, and frankly you never do. When we got Skittles after Sneakers I vowed to never get close to the cat. He sleeps in the bed with me..... Cherish the moments you have hon
