Thanks Fran- it sounds like you have some big limitations to contend with! I have never tolerated dairy - especially milk - very well. But with recently dx'd osteoporosis - I've been looking to add calcium. I'll look for the lactose free cheeses. Am trying lactose free milk. It's interesting you mentioned the wheat fillers in vitamins. I have a terrible time taking vitamins and for some odd reason they usually make me gain weight, and I feel better when I stop them. Makes me wonder if that isn't the reason.
I am finding that things I once had no problem with, spicy foods for example, are now causing some big problems. Sausage is another thing - doesn't matter whether it's pork or turkey, I pay a price, so it also makes me think it has to do with added ingredients.
It's getting to the point where I just stay away from most processed foods and eat basic proteins and vegies. Oh yeah, and that other staple - chocolate ( I try to just eat the dark Fair Trade stuff with no soy lecithin in it, but I cheat.... a lot!)
