I know this has been posted many many times, but I can't seem to locate any of those old posts. I'm looking for any books that contain a lupus (or autoimmune) diet. I just got back from a family funeral (my aunt), and my cousin also has lupus. She said she just drove her lupus into remission and she attributes it to a lupus diet she pulled from one of the more popular books. I forgot what the title was, though. Do any of you know about these books? The diet was supposedly more organic and non-processed foods.

hi el & Lynnwood ... i looked thru resources post again but didn't locate the books ... i did however find a link on the top navigation bar called BOOKSTORE and clicked on lupus ... my favourite book has been The Lupus Book by Dr Daniel Wallace ...

Yes, Dr Wallace's book is considered world-wide to be "THE lupus bible" for us as patients. I'm sorry, I thought some links to diets were on there. Try using the search function at the top of the page for lupus & diet, I know we've discussed a lot previously.

Several of the legume and nightshade families are not indicated per Dr Wallace. However specific "inflammation booster" diets and the like should be carefully coordinated with your rheumy as they may influence whatever med regimen is being planned.

I'm on vacatio9n this week, but will try to help more when I get home.

Hi El. I found Lupus Recovery Diet interesting. It's a whole foods diet (not processed food). Hope it helps. Love, Butterflake
