Hey guys! (reading your fourm made me what to join and share my story and hope to get some advice, you guys seem really nice)

My name is Geri and im 16 years old. Um where do i begin.
Well last year i took most of the year of school becasue of bowel problems, fatigue, muscle spams, joint pain, rash etc. The doctors took forever to figure out i have celiac disease. But the reason im writing to your guys is becasue i have been quite sick again for the past month, i have spent so much time of school and im really worried. My mum is started to get annoyed at me for missing so much school and she thinks i am depressed. But i think otherwise, my syptoms this year have been a challenge to mantain at school. I get really bad muscle spasms and pain, joint pain, numbness in hands and feet as well as purple white feet they are cold 24/7, stiffness (gets hard to write), muscle weakness and especially fatigue as well as rash and mouth ulcers. They all started to get wrose after getting the flu for like three weeks, now im seriously fatigued.

I have kidney pain, burning when peeing and pelvic pain and the ultrasound was clear and as well as a urinlyis. I just had a cystocopy four days ago and they found a severe bladder inflammation but without any bacteria. Could this have been referred pain? I also have a very mild bowel inflammation from a colonscopy i had last year. I think this is all connected.

Im really quite worried that its all in my head and i have been to the doctors so much, im dreading this appointment today. The doctors have done no blood tests recently, so hopefully when i see my GP today he can do one. Sorry this is getting too long. My question is that is it possible for me to have lupus? what else could all these syptoms mean?

Sorry about the length, i tend to go on quite a bit.
Im rather nervous about the appointment, i have lost hope that they will find something.

Welcome to the forum. I hate that you've been going through so much. With all of those symptoms I can see how it would be hard to participate at school. I really pray that the doc is able to properly diagnose and treat you. Let us know how your appointment goes. Judy

Hey Geri! Welcome to Healing Well. This has been a great source for me when I was first diagnosed and I have meet some amazing people who seem to know the right thing to say. I hope you stick around, a support group full of people who can understand helps in a huge way :-)! Let us know how everything goes, I'll be praying for you/family and your docs

My heart just breaks for you Geri. It's not all in your head. Though I admit I've been where you are, thinking that I'm imagining all of this, but it's very real. When I was first sick with lupus, people thought I was suffering from depression. It's such an invisible disease. You don't need the added stress of beating yourself up.

I don't know whether or not you have lupus, but you certainly do have the symptoms most of us suffer from. I hope you have a good doctor and that your appointment today goes well. Just remember, it often takes years for these diseases to be diagnosed, so don't despair. Hopefully your doctor will give you something to help make you feel better. You're way to young to have to suffer like this.

I do hope you have given up gluten. A gluten free diet is not as hard to follow as one might thing. I've done it and it made me feel much better within about a week. If you'll google "gluten-free diet" you'll find lots of articles, advice, and recipes that will help.

Stick around. You don't have to have lupus to be on this forum, and many folks here have more than one AI disease. There are a couple of girls here that are your age and I'm sure they can offer you support and that you can relate to each other. We are all here to help, support and listen, and we rant and complain whenever we feel like it and everyone understands.

Hi Geri - Glad  you found this forum.  It's a great source of help and support.  I certainly questioned myself about my symptoms, and tried to minimize them and "just get over it".  It's very hard when others just can't see what's going on with you, or apply a name to it they can understand.   You are so  young to be coping with all of this - I pray your doctor will be skilled, thorough and understanding.  Hang in there - it may take a little while.  Let us know how things go.

Hi Geri and wellcome! as everyone has said you will find alot of support and understanding here I sure have, I am so sorry you are going through all of this it is very hard to deal with I know . I sure hope you get some answers soon ,you will be in my prayers I hope you feel better soon
