Hi all!

I have een flaring for what seems like forever now. I saw my rheumy on Set. 11 and on the 13th I went into a flare! I went home sick that day and have been home ever since thank God for an awesome boss. I am in the worse pain ever and nothing seems to relieve the pain,I have had flares but a typical flare last maybe a week and I feel better,this is the 1st time since my diagnosis 4 yrs ago that I have had one this long. I am sad most days,it takes so much energy to even cry so I don't bother and with the Sjogrens the tears don't come easy. Last night at my sons football game he was injured so I had to run him to the emergency room where of course there were 50 plus people with coughing and flu symptoms so with masks on we waited only to not be seen. I can't tell you how frustrating that is so my 13 yr old spent the night in pain,thank God for his ped. he goes see the ortho in the morning. I filed for disability which seems to be moving along prety fast,they are sending me to see one of their docs,I amnot sure if that is a good thing or bad,I pray it works out I really need some finanical help my poor husband is working his buns off. Love him dearly. I guess I complained enough thanks for reading.

It's not complaining to me,just telling it like it is. I have found thru this forum that just getting it out really helps,all the frustrations and fears,just letting them out and not stuffing them down,trying to be a good sport hurts you more then telling it like it is.Hope you feel better soon,if not please call your doc.,that's what he is there for.God Bless, Namaste Raven1954

My family putside if my house don't get it, they seem to think that like most who are not familiar with our problemns that I am not as sick because I do not look sick. Mostly I just come on and read but posting feelings is a real outlet.I have called my doctor he seems to think it's just a normal flare so we are going to adjust the prednisone and change the pain medication. I pray it works.

Lori2203 I take prednisone,plaquneil,hctz,lisnopril,imuran,tramadol,loratab prn,azathioprine and iron.

I was taking methatrexate and piroxicam my rheumy took me off those sept.11 i have een in a flare since sept. 13th unable to go to work since I left early on the 13th of sept.

Jenks.... I was just thinking... I know that you have had a lot of rain in your area... My body is affected by humidity and heat... do you think this maybe a problem for you?

Weleetka I am pretty sure the rain and humidity has a lot to do with the way things are going,but ven on the sunny days I hurt,maye not as bad but still hurts the same :( today my husband actually took me out to dinner and to play the nickle slots at the casino(smiling) I haven't been out of the house in almost a month except to go pick my son up from practice so it was reall nice to be out among the living. Thank god I have an awesome boss who totally understands my situation,I have been off work for a month and I just put in for fmla. TOday was a good day and I pray it continues on for a very long time to get back to some normalcy.
