Hey, cookiemonster. I was looking for you about a month ago... i guess you never saw my post. How's your husband doing. Better i hope.
The appt. that we both had on the same day... My rheumy put my on Arava.. a new drug. So far I haven't had a whole lot of change. I still have joint pain. But he said i could take up to 8 wks. I was on prednisone.. but i now quit it. I felt awful for a while.. but i wanted to get off of it because of the side affects. Plus i was hoping the Arava would take most of the pain away so i wouldn't need it. I weird i have been in so much pain lately but, it seems that today i actually am having a good day. Joints aren't too bad. Maybe the Arava is starting to work? That would be nice. I have notice that my feet are bothering me more though.
I had a upper and lower endoscopy!! Went very well, I love the people in the hospital i went too. They are so goofy and so nice. I was not even nervous at all. Nor do i remember anything. The doc said i was sleeping through most of it.

Laura,

I've been on Arava for the better part of this past year and it has made a world of difference. My joint pain has improved significantly as has my fatigue. I had many bouts of unexpected diarrhea for the first few months but chose to stick it out and am glad I did. So far so good! I hope you have the same positive experience with it.

H i Laura,

I actually responded like 2 weeks ago and never heard back so I thought something might have been wrong.

I hope your new med works for you....

As far as my hubby he went to his apt and this rheumy said he does not think it is lupus, fibro or RA....so confused   confused

This rheumy wants him to start mobic, he has not yet tho think he will start it this weekend to see if it helps at all.

I don't understand how 3 diff docs have 3 diff opionions on the same exact blood work....1st, thought it was fibro 2nd, thought lupus and now the 3rd neither????? 

Have you noticed your new med helping yet?  Have you been diagnosed.....from what I recall you haven't.....if not what did this new doc think you have?
