lung involvement. questions for ya.

Ginny, yes it could very well be from lupus. Hopefully it isn't. However once you lose your lungs you can't get theme back. I don't know how many people but barb and I are both on o2 24/7. you don't want to go there. Run.......do not walk to your nearest pulmonologist. I didn't see a pulm. for 6 years after I got sick with my breathing. My dr. kept saying it was ashma. Finally I saw a pulm. he said throw everything away it isn't asthma. By than it was too late.

please see someone and pressure them to take a good look. Don't let them blow you off.

Good please tell her you want to see a pulm. ya know what I never cough. the test said I have the lungs of a 121.1 year old woman. and I never cough. Of course if I was that old I probably would be to tired to cough. I don't got no goopies either though. I hardly ever get a cold. I just go staight to pnemonia. I sure hope it is only a bad case of bronchitis. Even that is not good since the lupus may try to go in and clear it up and not know when to stop. Ya know? Let us know what you find out.

I'm good thank you for asking. So are you suppose to go in to see her? How are you doing tonight. weak is not good after all this time. I have a lady from church that had bronchitis all winter but she is about 80 years old. she's getting over it now.

Ginny, it's cause for concern and I hope you have it checked out soon. If you don't use a Neti Pot to clean your sinuses every day, please get one. You can find them at any grocery store. They work wonders and keep all the whatever out of your sinuses. As far as the bronchitis, I hope that's not affecting your lungs permanently. Please let us know what your doctor says.

Thanks for all the concern!

I saw my internal medicine specialist this morning and she had my chest xray results. Shows some mild congestion in the right lung. I'm much better today than I was even a couple days ago. I only used my inhaler once today. Nose is remarkably better too. I think I'm on the mend!

She isn't too concerned about this and believes it is just a nasty virus and with me being immune suppressed, it just took this long to to its job.

I'm still flaring with my lupus though. I feel pretty lousy. Fluish, headache, hip pain, fatigue. All that lovely stuff. So I'll stay on 25mg of pred for another week.

If this cough starts up again I'll let ya know!!
