Hey stacie I had one done. The put it in my vein in my leg. It wasn't a big deal and I wasn't knocked out. just a local. the worst part was pushing it in the artery on the inside of my leg. Other than that they have you lay still in recovery for quite awhile. you have to keep pressure on the wound. They put a plug in it when they are done and you will have a lump on your leg for a few weeks as the plug melts into your body. Make sure you don't have to pee cuz they won't let ya up.

well my point with the cardiac cripple is my dad is a very sensitive case and he does great each time...i guess i could have worded it differently hah.

my dad is doing fine... i had a lower die test where they went through my groin but it was for my legs..

I hope your heart cath. went well this morning. I've had a couple of them myself. Hopefully, you are home resting now and will recover quickly. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Everything went well, no blockages, thank the Lord. My vessels in the top left part of my heart are smaller than the others (just the way God made me) and that is why it was showing less blood flow. He said the chest pains are probably coming from lupus. The procedure itself wasn't that bad, I don't guess. I thought I would have been knocked out a little more with the twilight drug but he was hesitant on giving me too much because my BP runs so low. Carol you are right it was a little uncomfortable when he was ramming the cath into my leg but the worst part for me was my right hip started killing me a couple of minutes before the procedure was over, tears streaming down my face, they gave me a little something for the pain but it didn't help much and then of course having to lay down and not bend that leg for 2 hours didn't help matters either. This evening it's still painful but I'll be ok.

I feel your pain. My daughter was recently diagnosed after 3 years of being sick and visiting numerous specialists. She kept catching every little thing, has many mouth sores, seizures, extreme tiredness, and recently started with joint pain and swelling. She is always tired. Mornings are always the worst for her. The doctors kept treating her symptoms and not the cause. After visting one rheumotolgist who basically dismissed us, we found another one who on our first visit said this is lupus. She ran extensive blood work and it backs up her thought. My daughter was just diagnosed this week. She has an awful time, and most days are bad for her. I'm hoping the plaqunil will help her. Right now, she has low blood sugar (58) and low thyroid t3 as well. The rheumotologist feels it's the lupus causing it. I have learned that you have to be your own child's advocate. Find a doctor that will listen and help you.

My hip is finally feeling better, still taking it easy especially after I pulled a muscle near the incision last night, thought I would die! After about an hour or so it loosened up, doctor said to take it easy the rest of the weekend. If it's not one thing it's another!!!

Stacie! I am so relieved about your test results! Hopefully your hip has continued to feel better! Please let us know what the cardio doc says on Tuesday! Will be praying for you!

Stacie, with so much going on with me I never got around to posting here for you. I am so sorry. I am very glad your test went well and hope that the heart monitior continues to give good results instead of scary ones. I had forgotten my old rhemuy said there were more false positive results that ended up with a cath in women with the nuclear stress test. She never said why I just remembered that she said that when mine went fine.
