Monday endometrial ablation, Friday Stress test (chemical)

Monday I have my endometrial ablation done. I am having the balloon kind because it is most effective with fibroids and odd shaped or contoured uteruses. My other option was this mesh thingie that unfolds into the uterus in a triangle but I wanted to get as much as possible burned away so we decided for the balloon. Then Friday hubby has his vasectomy done. I just hope that all goes smoothly and that this doesn't cause a flare. Friday we also both have stress tests scheduled mine is chemical and his is traditional. I had a traditional one done last time and wished they had done chemical but am a little nervous about the chemical stress test so if anyone has had one and can tell me what it is like I would appreciate it. I am actually a little nervous about all of it especially considering we plan to go to Cedar Point the 14th and 15th of July. I really hope I am back up to snuff by then.

Hey redrose! Just wanted to wish you good luck over the next few weeks, hope that you and your husband will recover quickly and that this will be the answer to the pain and issue you have been having. I sure hope you will be back and ready for a vacation by the middle of July!!! Let us know how the ablation goes!!!!

It was a lot more painful after I woke up than the doctor told me it would be. Sitting up for any length of time causes my pain to increase. It feels like my insides are trying to become outsides.

Redrose, I hope you feel better soon. I miss Cedar Point so bad. I miss living up there. I hope that the pain gets better and you heal fast so you can go. Watch out for the blue streak, that is one bumpy rollercoaster. I got all banged up on it. And the seats aren't the most comfortable, unless they've done an upgrade on it.

Marji, thanks. I am healing I am less sore today than yesterday. Less tired too. The discharge is very light- almost non-existant which is less than I was led to believe it would be from the description my doctor gave me. Of course my period is due any day now so I will have at least 1 last period. I hope my bruises are healed by the time we go, it took 7 tries to get an IV line into me. I don't do roller coasters, that is my husband's thing. I like the other kinds of rides and the water park.

Hi Redrose,

I had the nuclear stress test in March. When they injected me with the chemicals it made me feel VERY weird (chest tightening, etc) but it passed after a few minutes. The doctor / techs should be able to tell you what to expect. I drove myself home and then a couple of hours later I had some diarrhea but my GI tract is not normal so that didn't surprise me. I pray all turns out okay for you and your hubby.

thanks. Stacie I did a nuclear stress test several years ago back when I could do the exercise portion myself but this time they are checmically induing it which kind of scares me.

I am beginning to feel better but when I sit up for very long I feel painful up inside which I am sure is from the ablation.

I much prefer the chemical stress test to running on a tread mill for 5 minutes. Hubby did okay on his stress test. We get the results in a little over a week.

Hubby's vasectomy went well and he is experiencing mild discomfort with no real pain to speak of. He was tired though so he is in bed already and I am soon to follow.
