urine symptoms

Can anyone tell me if you have burning when you urinate if you have protein in the urine?  I had went for my yearly exm three weeks ago and had a urine speciaman.  The only thing it showed was blood.  There was no infection and it was negative for that.  I did not have any symptoms and CBC and everything was good.  All of a sudden yesterday I have the burning when I go to the bathroom,.  Would this be a UTI or could it be protein in the urine.  I'm going to call the doc tomorrow for another urine speciman.  I've never had a UTI.  I've never had protein in the urine.

Lynnwood is right, burning is not a sensation of spilling protein. I would lean more towards a UTI. If you are worried about it, get another urine sample and ask your doc to also do a spot protein test!!!

I had blood in the urine about 3 weeks ago but the doc did a CBC and it came back all good. There was no UTI. So I will have to get another urine test because of the burning.
