ear and jaw pain ? glandular

I have a four year history of joint pain , terrible fatigue etc , which I was under the care of the rheum for , since april this year my symptoms have become steadily worse. Such as raised pink bumps on my forearms that look like plump insect bites but aren't , they stay for around 8 weeks then scale and leave a faint mark . I have around 2 or 3 on each arm . Since june my mouth became dry , and my eyes are gritty and red too , and my tongue is sore at the back on and off , but it appears pink and healthy when u look at it , drinking cold water seems to soothe it a little . However for the last month I have had a full feeling in my ears , sometimes they itch deep inside in the morning too , then I get these sharp shooting pains around my ears and jaw , and sometimes these shooting pains go under my arms and groin , wondering if its glandular ? . I do have what feels like one 2 cm gland under my left ear , but its not painful to touch . I also have a sore throat which comes and goes frequently. Also for the past 4 years I have had pins and needles in my face legs and hands and ulner nerve compression . I saw a new rheum in july and was RO positive , esr slightly raised too , and my HB was 12 . He suggested repeating them in 6 months !! I am at my wits end , very depressed , missing time from work etc , does this sound like lupus ? . Just as an added bit of info I had severe juvenile arthritis as a child too . Be lovely to hear from anyone with any advice or information .

Hi Jases. Autoimmune diseases are a strange lot to be sure. I saw a rheumy for over a year before he would diagnose me and that was only because I argued that I had two positive anti-double stranded DNA tests. Getting to that point took two years of many symptoms. If you don't agree with your rheumy consider seeing another. I agree with Okie that some of your symptoms sound like sjogrens.

More importantly, you really should see your primary care doc asap. You may have something else. Let us know how it goes. Love, Butterflake
