Masses from possibly from lupus

Hi all. So I got my results today. Bone marrow biopsy was inconclusive. So we're going to do watchful waiting for 2 months then do another Pet scan at the end of March. Then I'll See doc again begining of April. they're going to compare this scan with that one and if it still shows cancer in my bones, then Chemo. She showed me the scan and it looks like paint splatered spots in my bones, but they say its slow growing. I'm confused. They called it
Stage IV B Cell Marginal Zone NHL. I looked it up and there is still other classes under that. How do I know which one? I had an area removed on my right chest still have one on my back near the right of my spine, one in my right shoulder blade, and then the splatters all over my bones. She said it's slow growing. i'm so confused. Does anyone have any info, also I have lupus. Don't know if that matters. Feeling a little better though knowing I won't have to go through chemo for at least a couple more months, but scared about it spreading...Jo

Hi, They do the watch and wait because the side effects of the chemo can make you sicker than the cancer. If it's slow growing than they watch it for change. If it doesn't change then they monitor you closely. If it changes or starts to get bigger, etc. then they will start treatment.  Right now I guess their going to do a comparison in 2 months. If there's no change then they'll probably continue the watch and wait, if there's any change then treatment will start. I think. I have been talking on a NHL forum with other people like me which helps. So I'm pretty comfortable with the way my plan is for now. I'll continue to keep everyone posted. I may get a second opinion, but I'm going to wait the 2 months and see what the comparison shows. I also read about people with autoimmune are a high risk it did mention SLE.  thanks for your post....Jo
