This is great news for many lupus sufferers. It doesn't work for everyone, but finally, lupus research is in the news. Super article.

I'm so excited about
this! Even if it can't help my lupus specifically, I feel like this will put lupus in the news and possibly encourage others to learn more about
it or even look for a cure.

Since this is in the same class as the other biologics, this must just be the first one approved for lupus whereas they are already for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, etc? I'm already taking one of those (Humira)....

Again you are right. It's good that Lupus is getting publicity, b/c we need to get the word out to find a cure and get Lupus awareness out there to the people.

All inflammatory diseases need more publicity and more research. I'm happy that there's a new drug for Lupus. I wonder if it is at all helpful in other autoimmune diseases. Corticosteroids have so many bad side effects, it's good more options are on the horizon.
