I see my pulmonary dr. today, I am guessing it is oral candidiasis, thrush, I have no real white spots, tongue is red with bright red streaks, it bleeds when i brush it (one time daily) my teeth twice a day, and my gingiva and my throat hurt and it really hurts to swallow. Along with it I have been on a wide spectrum antibiotic because i have a deep cough with a variety of phlegm colors. (pretty huh) I am diabetic med controlled, SLE and in a flare, RA, GERD, IBS, Depression and anxiety and Gulf war illness stuff. I do take MTX, Orencia and i am on an antibiotic, so with all of that i led myself to the thrush answer... here is my question
What doctor do i go see? Rhuemy, family, pulmonary, GI, DDS,
this is quite painful and i get it often but now my tongue bleeds too. so with the constant xerostomia (dry mouth) i am getting frustrated.
Thanks ...
