Hi,
I am going through withdrawl right now. I was on 5mg for a very long time. Then I tapered to 4, then 3, didn't seem to have any trouble. had gotten down to 2mg per day, then 1 for awhile , and now I am off it. It's been a couple of weeks now and I've never felt so tired in my life. I also have joint paint and have read that you will get symptoms you are talking about. When I started taking it I was on 40 mig. for AIH Autoimmune Hepatitis.I tapered very slowly. When I started seeing a Hepatoligest. He said it was NASH and that I needed to taper more and that I might have to be on a low dose for a very long time. I ordered a book off ebay called Coping with Prednisone. I got it back out in the last few days and realized that is what is happened. I don't have a refill on it, and am trying to stay off and just go through the symptoms. This what the woman in the book did and she said she it took several months to finally feel good again.
I can really relate to what you are having and the feelings that go along with it. I'm hanging in there, but may have to have the prescription refilled and go back to one or two a day. It's a crappy feeling.
I hope this helped some.
