Plaquenil and The Pill Book

Morning to everyone!

I bought the latest edition of The Pill Book so that I can have a reference guide of what my Rhuemmy is prescribing for me. Currently, I am on 40mg Prednisone, 500mg Cellcept and 200mg Plaquenil.

Anywho, the first two Rx I found, no problem but I cannot locate Plaquenil or its generic 'sister'. Only prerequisite is that the drug be FDA approved and I found numerous sites online that it is. Does anyone know if it listed under another name?

HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE SULFATE

chloroquine

I don't think it was listed in the older version of the Pill Book either -- can't find the book to double check. Maybe some manufactures don't participate in the book?

webmd.com type in generic name
it is an antimalaria drug. i am terrible at computer stuff. it gives a bit of info there.

Hydroxychloroquine is the generic name for Plaquenil. It's in my nursing drug reference book, maybe try one of those? Chloroquine is similar but is not the same drug.

Thanks Lovely Ladies!

I know the Internet has oodles of info on Plaquenil. I just found it odd that The Pill Book didn't have it and the generic.
