HI.

I was just wondering if Lupus can give Chronic Diarrhea and abdominal Pain?

And what tests are more commonly used to diagnose Lupus?

The ANA blood test is usually the first test to determine further testing.
You do need to see a gastroentrologist ASAP.

With those symptoms, I'd suggest seeing your GP or PCP first, they can ask more questions and run preliminary tests and then refer you to the proper dr. You could have appendicitis, gastro problems, etc.

Lupus would be far from the first disease I'd consider, although it could certainly do that. You'd need other symptoms before heading for Lupus!

Hi.

I have been sick for well over a year now with chronic diarrhea and abdominal pain. I have been through so many tests. I have a WBC scan and another CT scan coming up and was just wondering if Lupus is something I should ask him to test me for. I have headaches, light headed ness, my hands and feet are always cold. I have sever weight loss and irritability along with hair loss.

Just was wonderin If lupus can accompany chronic diarrhea.

I suffered with chronic diarrhea for years and last year had to see a proctologist and mention it to him.  He said that it was also a sympton of lupus and put me on Welchol.  It has changed my life.  You may want to ask your Dr. about it.
