Lab Results

So I had a positive ANA with a titers of 1:40 Homogenous pattern at my gp they then send me to the Rheumy. He orders my labs and tells me that if I don't hear from everything is normal and he will see me in a month. So when I leave I tell the front desk receptionist what he says and she responds with we don't have any appointments next month and does not schedule me at all. Now mind you this paticular Rheumy also tells me that is my labs are normal he will refre me to a psychiatrist as if I am crazy. So a week goes by no phone call so being I know my body I know something is wrong and that I am not crazy I take it upon myself to call. The nurse says my labs have come back and that if he had not called me they were fine so I ask for a copy. Still positive ANA with a titers of 1:160 this time still same pattern my CRP is high 14.7 I tested positive for Sjogren's anti SS-A Antibody and Negative for SS-B also Rheumatoid factor negative and negative for the DsNA. So I ask for the Dr. to call me the nurse then returns my phone call and says the Dr. says everything is normal and he will talk to me at my next appointment..Ok So now apparently to them I am crazy so I guess that's why to me this doesn't seem normal but it doesn't that is 2 ANA tests I have tested positive for and nobody is willing to explain this to me. Any help anybody has would be greatly apreciated obviously I have looked online and see where Lupus is mentioned as is Sjogren's syndrome. I do not have dry mouth or eyes I have extreme pain in my knees, back, and wrists. I am extremely fatigued. I have a sensitivity to sunlight in the fact that if I am outside in the sun and heat I will flush like a sunburn but I do not have a rash. I do get sores in my mouth but it isn't constantly. Also the rest of my blood work is good No low level platlets or White or red blood cells and my sed rate is fine the only thing that came back on one set of labs was my white blood count was high and my potassium was low but on the second set of labs all were normal.... I am so confused can somebody help any info...please

I only saw him face to face when he ordered the labs that yieled the positive ANA with titers 1:160 and the positive result on the SS-A antibody plus my high CRP and those are the results he refered to as "normal"... I have another appointment with a different Rheumy but not until December. Unfortunately I know these things can take time but I am one absence away from losing my job due to being out so much and to think in his opinion there is nothing wrong with me and that everything is normal is extremely frustrating.... Thank you for answering I just wish somebody would have explained oh those results do not coincide with lupus or that people normally have that result or yes there is a possibility that you may be suffering from something we need to investigate further....so frustrated...

Definitely find a new rheumatologist. He sounds like he wasn't on your side to begin with. That comment about sending you to a psychologist is a pretty big white flag.

The good thing is you have a copy of these labs. So going to a new rheumatologist should make things pretty easy. With positive blood tests and him saying nothing's wrong. I'd be finding a new rheumatologist!

I have heard of people testing positive for Sjogren's but being diagnosed with Lupus. I think it's called anti-Ro Lupus.
