Do you have times when you itch alot?/update

confused  I was about to start a thread, til i saw this one. my head itiching in the back so bad, no dandrfuff, it go all the way down to my shoulder blades. Gold bond helps the shoulder blades, but nothing is helping the back of my head. its drivign me nuts just washed it, still hurts, brushed still hurts, I am afraid I am gonna scracth so hard it will bleed, i dont want to do that, reg or dandruff shamppo does not help. I still dont have an official dx of lupus, everythng else though. i have all the signs, sores in my nose, in my mouth, anyone here of mouthkote, if so does it help, i have samples, afraid to try them.

Psoriasis meds seem to help the excema on my fingers a good bit, so thats a plus tongue I wish the sores around the outside of my mouth would go away redface .

So Im seeking answers too , what to make the ithchies go away..... smurf

Yep, I itch, inside nose - of late, chin and neck, hair - horrible, thinking of getting hair cut real short, drives me nuts.
Have bruises on soft parts of thighs too, usually see them in morning but they are strange, sort of little patches, not like a long (cat like scratch/bruise), they are round.
the itch on hands awful but more painful as they sting horrible!
Knees too.
VERY interested on the advice on itchy, I always wear soft. I cant do otherwise. Also interested in the clothes softener, I use it all the time.
Wont wear shoes if I have to which is never now, go everywhere in sheepskin slippers. Too sensitive feet now.
Anyone have probs with stearing wheels and friction making hands burn. I put a furry pink cover but I now think I need real smooth.
Walking stick hurts hand = the very fine join which others laugh at me about but it actually hurts me.
I itch on backs o legs too and ankles.
Well if your team is all booked which one can I join. Did you form an itchy baseball team? we dont do baseball here, maybe I could start a trend.
Oh get single hives two places espec. Right forefinger, top of bridge of nose and left thigh, very specific.
My ears and glands in neck hurting alot at pres. any ideas on that. I think the ears are from the glands, went to doc, he says they were very dry but they are so painful.

Denise, I have to agree with your hubby on that one. I used to sleep with a fan on me but not in the past year. I freeze all the time!

Hey Kim, I just invisioned being out there on the bases. Someone thinks I'mgiving a hand sign and takes off when I was actually having an itchy scratchy attack. tongue

Sheryl, bless your heart! Your poor head sounds absolutely miserable. Doctor can't do anything for it? I have never heard of the mouthcoat tstuff you mentioned but hey if it's a free sample you might call a pharmaciest and ask what they think but I would give it a try if my mouth was hurting like that. I use some stuff I call swish and swollow. It's what the doctor gives me for my mouth. I hope you can get something to help your head!

Hi Ann, usually when I have an ear each my glands are involved as well. Did doc. give you anything? Oh of course you can join the team....You already got a stick you won't have to buy a bat! LOL. Hey I'm all in favor of that lottery scratchy too. All though I never win anything. sad

I get the ears too, but luckily not both at the same time.

Im afraid the itchy sppot on my head gonna turn into a sore.

my calves itch alot.  I notice the bruises on my thigh, but now from itching, why i have bruises on my thigh, i will never know, I seem to turn up with bruises where I dont realize where they came from.

I hope EveryBody out has a Happy Easter!!!.. smurf ...

A topic dear to my heart.
I KNOW food plays a part in me now, but didnt much before, even with the crohns, but with the crohns alone I did have to be careful, but not very.
Now I know the food that are completely out eg. red meat, sugar,milk, white bread and any processed food plus chocolate etc.
I have tried to stick to very very bland food. It is very hard.
Also small meals often.
I have lost the apetite but of late its back with a vengence donno why cos I feel so grim.
I feel I hate food now and have a fortified drink which I like and wish its all that I could have and I would be highly satisfied!!!

Ann, sounds like my diet, and if a cheat, I pay for it.  The gastroparesis means i have a slow empting stomach, and have to eat very small meals, if I dont I will vomit. I do feel much better now, so I think I can get away with eating the no nos nono . But then I regret it....

Have you always has the itchies Frank? You seem to be up on most things. What do you attribute it to?

Ann, does food cause you to itch or did I lose ya somewhere?I have a lot of trouble with food bothering my stomach. Before I had my gallbladder out I had a lot of trouble. Now not so much but still some what. I bloat up like a puffer fish! I'm supposed to be taking acephix for it but for some reason my insurance says it has to be approved before they will pay for it so I've been out for a week and I can really tell the difference. I really wasn't able to eat much for easter dinner. Had to stay completely away from desert.

I have really just noticed in the last year. I think my maybe caming from the meds that helps my hair grow back. I am taken finasteride / proscar...a quarter worth each day. When I go back to the doc I need to ask him.

My itchie spot on top back side of my head has finally gone away.  But I have this constant rash on my shoulders, and shoulder baldes to half way down my back. Baby Gold Bond Powder seemd to help some.  Its worse when I get out of the shower, so is my face, its itchy and bloctchy. The Back rash feels a litle bit better since i cut my hair. But still a bit bothersome with the itchies and red rash.

i remember when i started to itch back in 1996, and it started on my kness then my back, and then my entire body, i went to every doctor know to man in New York City, and no one could figure out what it was, until i went to a small little clinic that was next to my job,a nd he dx it as Pruigo Nodularis, which most of you have described my symtoms, i've battle this skin problem since 1996, my poor hubby he has a premenant hand ache b/c he has to stratch or rub me all night just so i can get some sleep, recently the doctor asked me to go into a tanning boothe weekly for 1min at a time , pus he gave me some anti ointment, which still has yet to work , so i'm lost i've been thru so much in these past years being a nurse this is hard for me, b/c at times my skin is exposed alot, but i keep praying that it will go away, lol, anyway i so feel not alone any more.

Blessed your heart, sexyitch. It is miserable to itch for such a long time. I hope yours will go away soon.

I do not itch normally, but when I have drug allergy, my skin itches to death. Unlucky me now I have been itching for few weeks and still have to itch for few more weeks. I itched from head to toes, and with hives all over. The doc could not stop the antibiotics which causing the allergy because the infection was into my blood. Also, I am allergic to pencillin. I have no choice but keep taking it till the course is done. The Dermaty prescribed me Cetrizine and some cream to put on. It somewhat helps, but not much. The itch still goes on, and I am still stratching all over. It's worse when at night before going to sleep. I am always tempted to get up and take oxcycondone so to put me into sleep, but I did not because this is a painkiller. Tell me about it. If there is any remedy for itching, I would be the first one wants to know.

i have a problem where when i scratch it hurts really bad and half of my day i spend scratching my ankle and legs

I have been itching for some time now. Mostly at night but in the past few months I Notice a peculiar thing. Only my left elbow nad left ankle bone have super rough dry patches that peel and bleed. Since I started noticing this I noticed some purple pea sized dots along my legs. I always am a little dehydrated due to the thyroid. But I think getting fibro with lupus is to blame. I have used all the brands of lotion for itching. I still use Skin So Soft before I step outta of the shower. I just want to stop it so I can get a half decent nights sleep. Im gonna try Zyrtec at night but I am losing my mind.
