When do you bother the Rhuemy?

All this week my hands have been hurting more than the usual. They're running cold then hot, swollen and a deep ache everywhere.

Today my feet, back, and legs joined in. My temperture is 98.6, normally it's 97.

When do I holler at the rheumy for something to help me?

I'm not one to take a lot of pain killers, because I have a high pain tolerance, but mobic and tramadol is not cutting it. shakehead

In my opinion if I were you I would get in touch with your rheumy... No need to suffer like you are and if things do not seem right to you chances are they are not. I wish I had a pain med I could take or wasn't allergic to...

I called the rhuemy and told his nurse what was happening to me plus the newest stuff, I started getting hives yesterday.
They said I was getting a flare and put me on a methapredisonal pack. I started it this morning. Not much has changed yet.
I was itching so bad this morning I had to take two benadryl on top of my daily zyrtec. I spent the day yawning while I was teaching.

Hope u feel better soon! Have u tried a Calamine bath? Sometimes helps!

No, I didn't know they made it in a bath. I have heard of oatmeal bath though.
I'm still a little itchy today but it's going away.
I hate predisone though, I feel like a "grouchy ladybug".

Do any of you get aphasa? Having trouble remembering the right word to say. I get spells of it.

Hi Tater. First let me say my temp also runs 97, but I only get concerned when it's over 99. Next take Tramadol, but often take Tylenol with it because it works better together. There's a drug called Ultram which is Tramadol combined with Tylenol. Lastly, why suffer with the swelling and pain in your hands, feet, back, etc? Get an appointment with your rheumy. He or she should be able to help. I also use a cream called Voltaren. Rubbed into the joints and back is a big help for me, but it doesn't work for some folks. Feel better soon! Love, Butterflake

I take 15mg of mobic everyday and tramadol for increased pains. Usually it's tolerable pain after that.
I've tried voltaren before, infact I have 3 3/4 of tubes in my cabinet. It doesn't help me any.

Today I got hit with terrible stomach cramps for an hour. I've developed an higher fever of 99.1.

My feet and hands are hot! devil
