Lupus is not diagnosed only by blood tests, it is very possible to have nothing show up in your blood and still have lupus.
Check out
www.lupus.org and
www.rheumatology.org/practice/clinical/patients/diseases_and_conditions/lupus.asp - both are clear that symptoms are as important (or more important) in diagnosis than blood work.
Lupus is very hard to diagnose, and often diagnosis isn't determined or pronounced until after response to various types of treatment is noted.
I would say that since you are responding well to Plaquenil that you do have some sort of autoimmune disease. Your dr may diagnose it in the future, or it may be impossible to determine which disease. I found that a diagnosis didn't mean that much to me, it was more important that my symptoms were treated and abated.
Cheers,
