knuckles swelling up

I'm wondering if I'm starting a flare....

My knuckles are painful and puffy. Especially the second knuckle on both hands.

Do any of you have problems like that going on?

I'm not scheduled to see the rhuemy until September. Should I give him a holler or wait and see?

It's so hard to decide what's important and what's not important....

Hi Tater, This is a new one for me too, It used to be the only place "Aurthur" didn't have but he visits my hands now.
I also have nodes forming on the joints too and they HURT.

Thats everyday for me. Every knuckle....Most joints.

I am currently having that problem as well as losing most of my hair. I typically wait about two weeks or so before calling the doctor because sometimes the swelling will go away on its own. Sometimes I try Aleve if it gets really bad.

Having said that...you know your body and if you think that you need to talk to the doctor, give him/her a call.

Best of luck! Lupus is always an interesting thing to try to figure out.
