I have been recently diagnosed with Lupus and a friend suggested the lupusdigest .com. When I registered with the site I recieved an email telling me about Julie Liu a supposed Lupus suffer who has "cured" herself and many others using "natural substances" I looked up her website and her supplements are called Lupuraid. Has anybody ever heard of her or her "cure" I don't want to seem stupid or gullible but my friends are saying that I should try everything. I truly welcome any and all comments and suggestions. Sorry. There is no cure for Lupus. All you can do is manage the symptoms as it happens.

Lupus attacks you on the cellular level. Your white blood cells and antibodies are confused and are attacking healthy tissue. Right now all you can do is take immunosuppressents to keep them from multiplying and causing chaos.

I would be leary of anything that said it cured Lupus. You need to discuss with your doctor what he would like you to take. You could talk to him about your questions on your next visit and see what he says.

It is really hard when you get a diagnosis like this, but if you take it one day at a time it gets better to handle. You should make sure you have a good rheumatologist.

I agree with MaryAnn and Joy. There is no cure for lupus. It's a known fact, and I would be extremely skeptical on anyone who claims to have a cure for lupus. The symptoms can only be controlled and the disease can go dormant, but it cannot be cured.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought as much but I was hoping that maybe this stuff could help. I should have known better, otherwise there would be no one sufffering from lupus.

There is no cure for lupus.  It is possible that someone can go into remission and think they are cured.  The only way to know the difference is to be drug and symptom free for the rest of your life.  Seems like every incurable and/or rare disease has their share of "buy my product and cure your disease" quacks.
