Since I am a newbie on this forum, I am just gonna start by telling you all about
me and just another diagnosis to deal with....
I am 48 years young...single...with multiple medical conditions. I tend to view every one of them as just another 'cross' to bear--get used to the limitations, meds and then try to keep my life a float.
I have GERD, high cholestrol, borderline high blood pressure, osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, edema, sinus problems, sleep apnea, bipolar disorder, PTSD, vitamin D and B12 deficiency, and now lupus.
My 'challenges' come and go. When they occur well, lets put it this way I want to crawl in a hole and hibernate. My body aches, feet/ankles swell, joints hurt, fatigue that seems to never go away, an increase in light sensitivity, my depression is relentless and now, the itching that is so intense.
I notice that the itching happens when I've been outdoors for an extended amount of time. It gets to me because I cant see why I am itching. There are no external whelks, bumps, hives...it comes from internal sources.
Oh well, enough complaining. I have a pretty good life despite my challenges. I believe keeping positive and having support from friends and family and most of all, GOD brings me thru these trials!
