How long do you sleep?

I've found I need about 10-12 hours of sleep to function. Is this normal?

I need 10-12 hours as well!!! Before I found out I had Lupus, my husband would get aggrevated at me for wanting to go to bed so early.  He didn't think anyone needed 10-12 hours of sleep.  Now that we know I have Lupus, I'm like "I told you!" LOL  :)  That and many other things now, make so much sense!

yep same here.  10-12 hrs on a good , i feel healthy day.  On days when im flaring its closer to 14.

My mom keeps telling me I'm sleeping the day away. I just can't wake up before 12pm.

I am Pheby and am new here. SLE and depression have been very loyal to me for decades; and so is allergy, asthma and sleep apnea is my new evening friend who keeps me company through the dreamland...LOL turn

I need at least 10 hours to function (it has been that way since I was a teen). If not (lately) I will fall asleep during the day. Although I did get sleep last night, but was still falling asleep in front of the computer at night. Now that it is night, I am not sleeping. :/
