Ok, so I hope this is the start of an interesting discussion...

Whether due to Lupus, Lupus Meds, or Menopause -- the number of heavy stiff hairs on my "chiny chin chin" has been multiplying -- like far beyond what simple plucking can handle.

And since hair removal products have come "a long ways, baby" since last I tried them (1976?)...well, I purchased a product and did a spot test where the hairs were thickest.

(Note that I am blond, and have always had a lot of fine, very short, fuzzy invisible hairs all over, including face...)

Well, the hair removal worked very well...on the short invisible hairs!...and left the stiff dark "manly" hairs all alone!

So now I have my normal soft fuzzy face, with a bare spot that has gnarly hairs highlighted!

Very glad I only tested a small spot...not something bad enough to cry over, but not overjoyed either. Anyone else have something that just didn't work out quite right?

     I am in the same boat.  I think it's due to the Prednisone.  In my case, I have olive-colored skin and dark (well part of it is grey turn ) hair.  Those pesky chin hairs are not only dark, but unreasonably thick.  I had a few that turned in on themselves and went back into my chin!!!  When I manually pulled them out with tweezers, they were about 2 1/2 inches long.  CRAZY!!!  The only action I take is tweezing them.  I am very hesitant to put anything on my skin due to intense reactions to chemicals.  Hopefully, other folks have tried products that are safe....I just won't go near them.

Well, I get my electric razor after my facial hairs. :)

I have what looks like a teen's first mustashe! :)))
Nothing except waxing (which is too painful to me) or shaving it off will work for me.

Ah, fun with Lupus! Woke up this morning with raised red welts all over my face & scalp. Slightly itchy, but not too bad and fairly easy to resist touching. Fun, fun, fun!

Woke up this morning and I could not bend the fingers of my right hand.  They were so swollen that all I could do was laugh until I cried.....my husband, however, did not see any humor in my situation.  I guess for me things have been pretty good lately that I had to laugh off what was happening.....yes, Lupus can strike out of nowhere.

My hairdresser takes care of the hairs on my chiny chin chin when she cuts my hair every month. She uses hot wax and it works.

I lather up my mustache and attack it with a razor. I also have a carpet of hair which grows from the tops of my eyebrows to my hair line which are regularly wiped off the "face" of the map.

I woke this morning and wondered what day of the week it was. Love, Butterflake

My hips started to hurt day before yesterday and I was told last night and this morning that i'm walking like Donald Duck. I was upset at first but then I though well heck just laugh, it could be worse but yep I have a mustache too that if I don't get waxed looks just like a mans.
