Having dizzy spells

Do any of you have issues with dizzy spells?

I've been having some dizzy spells first thing in the mornings, but they stop after about 20 minutes.

Tonight while driving home with my niece I had a severe dizzy spell and had to pull over and let her drive the rest of the way home. smhair

My ears are squealing so loud now that I can barely hear.

I have been having a lot of dizzy spells lately. I went on a long 12hr trip this last week, started feeling dizzy, lightheaded, tingly and numb feeling all over my body.  I ended up throwing up due to dizziness and motion sickness.  I have had motion sickness before but nothing like this, it was horrible.

Hi Joy,

     I do get dizzy spells from time to time.  Sometimes they are related to the beta-blocker I take, but at other times I take my best guess as to why.  It could be inner ear.  It could be from having been out in the sun too long.  I can get very sun-sensitive and one of the symptoms that happens is extreme fatigue and dizziness.  I feel so miserable that I get nauseated and also feel like throwing up.  I don't really notice the dizziness at any other time.

I have been getting really bad dizzy spells. Also I feel cloudy headed like my thinking is heavy. I got a test that says my blood is having trouble getting to my brain. I assume this is why. All of these symptoms started around them same time as my UCTD. I am having trouble distinguishing what symptoms are coming from what problems.

I'm trying to get an appointment with an neurologist to see if my dizzy spells and arm shaking is related to lupus or something else.

The brain fog is the worse for me.

I've given up trying to figure what's causing all of my symptoms I just treat what rears its ugly head at the time.

I'm sorry that you're having such a hard time right now. ((((((hugs)))))) I know that I have had issues with feeling dizzy in the past. Normally, the dizzy feeling turns into full blown vertigo, which I've had worked up so many times. I've been told I suffer from benign positional vertigo. I usually see an ENT and they give me some IV Zofran for nausea and lay me down with my head hanging off the bed or exam table. Then the Dr moves my head from side to side really fast, it causes the vertigo to act really bad and I feel like puking.

Once, that's done several times the vertigo seems to go away. They explained it as they are realigning the crystals in my inner ear. That usually works and I feel fine. The last time I had a real problem was 3 years ago, touch wood. I hate it when I have vertigo or the dizzies as I call them.

I hope your Dr can figure things out quickly. You've been under a ton of stress with your kitty and all. I'm not surprised you're flaring so badly. I agree with your game plan, don't worry what's causing it just get it fixed. If I can answer any other questions ask away. I'll keep you in my prayers and I hope you feel better soon.

I have been getting lightheaded and dizzy spells for the past few days and actually passed out last night while walking. Today I am still dizzy if I stand for a few minutes. Being newly diagnosed I'm curious if this is part of it or something else.

I hope you start feeling better. Let us know what you find out and I'll do the same. I see my rheumy this week and plan to ask about it.
