Hi everyone!

Just wondering if any of you have persistent abdominal pain with lupus? I have it on and off all the time. Sometimes it gets so bad I can't stand it. I've been to the ER multiple times for it and labs/CT scan always come back fine. The only time its showed anything was when I had ruptured ovarian cysts. I was in the ER the last 2 nights with no answers. Saw my rheumy today.. she said I'm not crazy, she believes I'm in pain but just can't point to the reason on a picture or lab result. Don't know if its just inflammation related to lupus or adhesions from my endometriosis.. at this point we're just hoping it gets better. I have these flares like this frequently and wondered if any of you have ever experienced this.. Hope everyone's doing pretty good today! Thanks for your help!

No, I've hadn't had any trouble like that.

Do you think you might be gluten intolerant? I know a lady who has lupus with Celiac Disease. She has a lot of trouble with her stomach.

I've been tested for Celiac and it was negative. I don't have problems with going to the bathroom ever.. just the pain. I don't know.. just another random thing lupus has given me unfortunately.

I've experienced a good bit of lower right quadrant pain since diagnosis. But nothing has every been found to be the culprit. Had some scopes - one up & one down...nothing funny located. Sometimes I think it's associated with food - like if I eat a whole lot of one thing - like 5 rolls for dinner.

Have you ever tried to track the result of your blood inflammation markers correlated to the pain? That might be helpful.
